10 Years?

First picture as a family at Le Toukoul Orphanage, Ethiopia Feb. 2010

It's our TEN year wedding anniversary tomorrow. Sometimes I think, "How did we make it this far?" and sometimes I think, "It really doesn't seem that long."

We've been through apartments, houses, cars. We've said sad goodbyes to our babies Twiggy, Kinsey, and Kiwi. We've graduated college, held together through our Master's degrees, switched jobs. But, TEN years? Wow.

Over a period of several months, we moved 1000 miles, Scott started a new job, and we adopted two one year olds and it didn't really effect our relationship with each other (with the exception of me getting a little snippy if Scott didn't mix the baby cereal right or something if I was tired :)

Actually, I credit the Scott's patience with me and his sense of humor to the success of our relationship.

It takes me forever to get ready to go anywhere, then I have to pee three times before we actually walk out the door. Now, it's even worse with kids because I (we) have to get them prepped and ready too. Scott can make me laugh, laugh, laugh and that's why I married him.

Plus, he makes me smile all the time.

  1. Congratulations to you and Scott. I love seeing updates of the Scullin family of four! The babies are obviously thriving with the love and care you are giving them. What a great mom and great dad you both are! Miss you!
